Hotsprings in Pansol
Barangay Pansol in Calamba is famous for it’s hotspring resorts. Based on National Geothermal Association, the hot spring emanates from the foot of Mount Makiling, which forms the Makiling-Banahaw geothermal Reservoir or the “Bulalo”. Famous resorts in Calamba include Monte Vista Pansol, Laguna Hot Spring Resort and Doña Jovita Resort.
However, there are fears that over extraction of ground water from public resorts may soon deplete the reservoirs.

Jose Rizal House in Calamba
Calamba is also the home town of Jose Rizal. Along F. Mercado St, Calamba stands the replica of the house of Jose Rizal. According to NHCP, the Rizal family lost possession of the house from the Dominicans and was eventually damaged and then demolished. Today, the house has been converted to a museum so people can reminisce the childhood of Jose Rizal.
